The Hot-Hatch market was turned on its head when Renault launched the remarkable Clio Renaultsport 172 – the car that made ‘Va-Va-Voom’ a household phrase.
Oozing sports performance and with eye-catching good looks the 172 remains one of the most phenomenal cars of its genre – the 0-62mph time of just seven seconds and the low profile chassis and 16-inch alloys provided the 172 with tremendous speed and handling characteristics.
Combining road-going excellence with high levels of distinction the Clio Renaultsport 172 maintained its lofty position in the fiercely-contested hot-hatch market throughout the whole time it was in production.
